Arlington Mom Teaches Preschoolers to Cook through Creative Classes

Andrea, North Arlington’s mom of Miles and Maggie, offers cooking classes for kids.  From the time her son Miles was big enough to sit in his Bumbo chair on the counter, he’s  helped his mom in the kitchen. Sometimes, cooking together was one of the only things that got us through long, fussy winter afternoons before Dad got home.

As a full-time mom of a toddler and a baby, Andrea was forever looking for new activities that were educational and fun. As she searched for a place where they could share their joy of cooking with other moms and kids, she discovered that Northern Virginia was lacking cooking classes for preschoolers. Shortly thereafter, Andrea began offering weekly sessions out of her North Arlington home.

Her idea of Creative Kids Kitchen, LLC has turned reality and proved a growing success. “A lot of moms have asked me to add more weekend cooking classes so that more working families and dads can participate.” They’ve now added two weekend classes, geared toward kids ages 2-5, they are e a great way to explore tastes, textures and healthy eating with your toddler!

Check out her latest offerings below.
